A reedição de um ícone de Mario Bellini

The re-edition of a Mario Bellini icon

Almost six decades after being designed by Mario Bellini, HAY reissues the Amanta. It was 1966 when the Italian designer shaped this radical sofa for its time. The Amanta represented a true break from convention. Its modular and sculptural form may have been the secret to maintaining its timelessness to this day.

The shape remains the same, but the materials have been updated. The recycled post-consumer ABS frame is complemented by ergonomically supported cushions, and all components can be disassembled. The frame and cushions (in leather or fabric) are available in various colors and in individual modules or pre-configured 2, 3 or 4-seater versions.

"The Amanta was not just ahead of its time – it helped shape the era in which it was created. Like a modern Leonardo da Vinci, Bellini treated the world around him as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for design," Marco Sammicheli, curator of the design, fashion and craftsmanship sector at Triennale Milano and director of the Museo del Design Italiano.

The Amanta is a classic that spans generations, now reinvented for today and will soon be on display at Paris:Sete.
