The Mikado, designed by the duo Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, is the latest chair launched by Vitra. Despite its apparent simplicity, the chair hides an ingenious mechanism that allows the backrest to recline for greater comfort. This functionality, combined with the ergonomic shape and generous upholstery, makes the Mikado a perfect choice for dining rooms, home offices, or for additional seating in bedrooms and other areas of the house.

With its serene and timeless silhouette, the Mikado elevates any environment, adapting to the most varied decoration styles with its smooth lines and diversity of finishes. Sustainability was also not overlooked in its manufacturing process. In addition to containing a high proportion of recycled materials, several components of the chair, such as the covers, can be easily replaced at the end of their life cycle.
The chair is available with and without armrests, with wooden or aluminium legs (polished or painted), and the covers can be ordered in a wide selection of fabrics and leather.
