Consultant Natasha Landers' home is an eclectic world of colour, art and furniture, which she herself renovated after purchasing it at the beginning of this century. "I bought this house from an older couple. When I moved in with my two-year-old daughter, it didn't have central heating. To start with, I had to make it watertight because it had leaks from the roof. I also had to change all the electrical wiring. For the first 15 years, I didn't rush things but did everything step by step. Now I'm very meticulous with details, ensuring I get what I want. I love vintage pieces. There's value in things with a vintage aura. Classic mid-century furniture adapts to any space. As a creative, my head is always full of ideas. I make a lot of changes to the decor and love to experiment. I dress like my home, with lots of colour."
This love for interiors is evident in every corner of her home in Walthamstow, London. In the various settings, you can find Vitra pieces such as the HAL Lounge armchair, the Moca chair, or the Cork collection, made with Portuguese cork, which blend perfectly with the rest of the furniture, objects, and artworks. "I'm not a minimalist. People use the word 'eclectic' a lot, and I don't know any other way to describe how I do things. My ancestors came from a sunny place, and it's usually grey here. I have a yellow rubber floor in my kitchen, and no matter how grey it is outside, it's always sunny in my space."
