Paris:Sete provides support for projects in various areas, meticulously overseeing each process with precision, organization, and an integrated vision of the space. One of the most recent and significant projects was for Euronext in Porto, developed in close collaboration with interior designer Vera Lucena.

In an office spanning approximately 5000 m² with 400 workstations, the challenge was to create a functional, comfortable, and sustainable environment where furniture played a central role in how the space is experienced daily. Through a conscious approach that valued existing equipment, combined ergonomic comfort with durability, and respected particularly demanding deadlines, the project resulted in a balanced, contemporary space designed for the future of work.

We spoke with Vera Lucena about Euronext's brief, the furniture choices, and Paris:Sete's contribution to the project's success:

What was Euronext's brief and how was it applied in the office?
Regarding the equipment, Euronext asked us to integrate a careful analysis of existing items into the creative process of this project phase. The goal was to utilize available units, avoid waste, and implement the company's sustainability principles.

After a rigorous survey, we proceeded with the analysis and selection of pieces. Some only needed a thorough cleaning, while others underwent more extensive conservation and restoration work. We also selected upholstered units and gave them a new lease on life, choosing new fabrics that aligned with the project's concept and harmonized with the equipment that needed to be purchased.

In this request, there is always a significant difficulty that clients need to be aware of: pieces that age with the space do not appear as old as they are, but in a new space, the marks of time become fully exposed. In Euronext's case, this challenge was successfully overcome, and we had complete freedom to choose and propose.

What was the importance of the furniture in this project? What atmosphere stands out?
Only one word comes to mind: fundamental. The equipment gives life to and promotes activity within the space. An office with 400 workstations and 5000 m² can easily feel overcrowded if there isn't attention paid to how we organize it, and naturally, to the equipment we choose. For this selection, it's essential to establish quality standards that go beyond design, ensuring ergonomic comfort and durability of the structure and materials given intensive use.
In the long term, this approach allows the space to maintain the desired quality levels from a functional, technical, and aesthetic perspective — in short, to be more sustainable.

"As for the environments, I would highlight the Food Court. It was designed as a versatile space, intended for much more than just meal times. It features a distinct chromatic atmosphere from the other floors, yet integrated into the overall ambiance. With direct access to a mezzanine floor where meeting rooms and the gym are located, it was interesting to create a subtle connection to the work environment while simultaneously promoting disconnection."

How did Paris:Sete contribute to the project's success?
This project had the particularity of having very ambitious delivery deadlines at all its stages — and the equipment was no exception. Paris:Sete and its teams were extremely dedicated, organized, and efficient throughout the entire process, achieving the most important thing: they did not miss the agreed-upon deadline, and the client was able to meet their objective. The quality of the after-sales service is also noteworthy, as it constitutes a fundamental contribution to the project's medium and long-term success.
