O candeeiro Sips da Marset na casa de Sarah Espeute

Marset's Sips lamp in Sarah Espeute's home

"A nest, a refuge, and the place where we feel good" is how French artist and designer Sarah Espeute defines the word home. The home, in general, and the dining table, in particular, are the starting point for her creations, which combine embroidery, art, and functionality. Espeute tells stories through her embroidered pieces and likes to imagine them as little souls, where each one is different from the other. For the artist, light is essential, both in her home and in her shop in Marseille, where she lives.

At the end of the day, when sunlight dwindles, Sarah begins the same daily ritual: she turns on each of her Marset lamps. "I like them because they are discreet, yet have a unique design," explains the artist, for whom Marset's Sips model reminds her of the R2-D2 robot.
