Christmas is at the door!
Christmas is at the door! Well, actually Christmas has already changed our habits in recent weeks. The plans, the trips, the shopping... lists and lists of shopping, ours and the children's. The queues, for everything and everywhere. Yes, Christmas has arrived!
What moves us and what excites us, however, will not be the shopping rush. What touches us regardless of our age is the agitation we feel within us, with the certainty that something magical is about to happen. We feel agitated like the boy who asks his mother, “How can Santa Claus deliver ALL the presents in one night!?”, or embarrassed like the mother, who has to answer her son without destroying his dreams! (and isn't it enough to say that he has a magic sled!?). We feel amazed by the story of a boy, who was born in distant parts to save humanity, or confused because we don't understand how this is possible.
Our stories and our lives are different, habits and rituals change from family to family and according to areas and cultures. For some there is cod on the table for Christmas dinner, for others octopus or roasted rooster. What we don't want to be missing from everyone's table is the presence of those we love. With them we want to share what we have and enjoy their company in the comfort of our homes, which thus become the source of memories for young and old. This is how we all remember the celebrations of past Christmases, the smells, the atmosphere, the decorations and the care put into every detail.
This Christmas we wish to continue building memories of friendship, harmony and beauty!
