Os produtos da Vitra em Plástico Reciclado

Vitra's Recycled Plastic Products

Giving post-industrial plastics a second life is what Vitra proposes in the manufacturing process of a large part of its products. The brand's commitment is to use recycled plastics (RE) in the creation of new products, thus extending their lifespan and use.

↑ Plastic ready for recycling

In this context, and if it's not possible to use waste from its operations, Vitra is willing to explore alternatives in other production units, as long as they make ecological sense, both in terms of transport and manufacturing techniques.

↑ Uten.Silo and Toolbox RE

This is a step forward in terms of sustainability, where Vitra is using recycled plastic as much as possible. Some of the pieces that respect this commitment are the iconic Uten.Silo RE, a wall-mounted storage system with several compartments, created by Dorothee Becker in 1963. And the Toolbox RE, created by Arik Levy in 2010, which is used to organize and transport small objects. The Eames Plastic RE chairs, the Tip Ton RE and the HAL RE are also part of this family of products created using recycled plastic.

An example to follow, undoubtedly, that can be discovered at Paris:Sete.
