Paris:Sete joins the biggest design event in Lisbon, the Lisbon Design Week, with a very special program: the presentation of the collaboration between USM Modular Furniture and Armando Cabral and the celebration of the centenary of Verner Panton's birth.
USM Modular Furniture x Armando Cabral
Armando Cabral was born in Guinea-Bissau and grew up in Portugal. He studied management in London and built an international career as a model. In 2008, he founded his eponymous shoe brand, and in 2022 he opened his first store in New York at Rockefeller Center. He recently expanded into the world of interiors with Armando Cabral A Casa.
In collaboration with USM, he presents NKYINKYIM, a collection that blends cultural heritage and contemporaneity. Inspired by the Akan people's symbol, which represents the intertwined paths of progress and challenges, it proposes a modular interpretation of living, where memory, function, and structure become language.
Verner Panton 100 Years
2026 marks the centenary of Verner Panton's birth, a date that celebrates the journey of one of the most influential figures in 20th-century design. Through a language distinguished by color, form, and experimentation, Panton challenged the codes of his time and proposed a new approach to thinking about spaces.
Believing that design should evoke emotions and stimulate imagination, he developed an independent practice where he explored innovative geometries and vibrant colors. His legacy lives on and continues to inspire new interpretations of contemporary design.
We invite all our clients, professionals, and design enthusiasts to visit this unique exhibition.
