“The Cover Lounge Chair came as a natural extension of the original design and was part of an idea I had for some time” says Thomas Bentzen in his studio in Copenhagen.
Complemented by its unique details, the Cover Lounge Chair features a cozy seat, taking up little space in the room.
Speaking of the design process for the Cover Lounge Chair, Bentzen says that "because my starting point was an existing design, the design process was different from usual - the expression and materials had already been chosen, yet it is a different design . Translating the chair ideas into a lounge chair was more challenging than I expected. Small details were changed to combine solid characteristics with a modern and light touch."
Turning to his own design philosophy and his relationship with the Cover Lounge Chair, Bentzen explains "the chair is a product of previous designs and work - there is a red line in my other projects with Muuto , modernizing the use of veneer in combination with solid wood."
